Cookie Policy

Effective date: 2026-04-19 · Last updated: 2026-04-19 · Version 1.0
One-line summary packr8.com uses strictly-necessary cookies by default. Analytics cookies require your explicit consent via the cookie banner and can be withdrawn at any time. We do not use advertising cookies.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow sites to remember actions and preferences (login, language, etc.) and help operators understand how the site is being used.

This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixels where they are used for the same purposes as cookies.

2. How PackR8 handles cookies

We apply the following principles:

  • Strictly-necessary by default. You can browse packr8.com without accepting any non-essential cookies.
  • Explicit opt-in for analytics. We do not set analytics cookies unless you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.
  • No advertising cookies. We do not run ad networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking.
  • Easy withdrawal. You can change your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer or clearing cookies in your browser.

3. Cookie inventory

3.1 Strictly-necessary cookies (no consent required)

These are required for the site to function — for authentication, security, and consent management itself. They cannot be disabled through the cookie banner without breaking the service.

3.2 Analytics cookies (consent required)

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not track users across sites and does not use persistent identifiers by default. These cookies are only set if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.

CookiePurposeDurationSet by
_pk_id.* / _pa_sessionAnonymous visitor identifier for page-view analytics. No cross-site tracking.30 minutes (session)[Analytics provider — e.g. Plausible / Fathom / Matomo]

The analytics provider is finalised prior to public launch. The cookie inventory will be updated and users will be re-prompted for consent if the provider changes.

3.3 Functional cookies

Where we embed third-party services on specific pages (e.g. Calendly on the Demo page), those services may set their own cookies. These are disclosed in the embedded widget and governed by the third party's cookie notice:

  • Calendly Cookie Notice — applies when you interact with the embedded booking widget on packr8.com/demo.

3.4 What we do not use

  • No Google Analytics Universal / GA4 with cross-site tracking enabled.
  • No Meta/Facebook pixel.
  • No LinkedIn Insight Tag.
  • No Google Ads / Microsoft Ads retargeting.
  • No session-replay cookies (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.).

If any of these are added in the future, this policy will be updated and consent will be re-prompted.

4. Managing your consent

4.1 On first visit

You'll see a cookie banner asking you to "Accept analytics cookies" or "Reject non-essential cookies". Strictly-necessary cookies are not affected by this choice.

4.2 Changing your mind later

  • Click the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page on packr8.com to re-open the consent dialog.
  • Or, clear your cookies in your browser — on your next visit you'll be asked again.

4.3 Browser-level controls

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies entirely. Instructions:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Edge

Note: blocking strictly-necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using interactive features.

5. Do Not Track (DNT) & Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics cookies, automatically. Browser-level DNT signals are not currently standardised and are not treated as legally-binding consent signals; the GPC signal supersedes them on our site.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the services we use, or to clarify ambiguities. Material changes (e.g. new third-party cookies) will trigger a new consent banner. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.

7. Questions?

Email privacy@packr8.com. See also our Privacy Policy for the broader picture of how we handle personal data.

Draft notice The analytics provider and final cookie inventory are confirmed before public launch. Visitors will be prompted for fresh consent at launch even if they have accepted the draft policy.
